The colour of empathy. This is a story of my life and various elements of it that I appreciate.

A blur…that basically summarizes the events of the last month in a nutshell. Blink and you’ll miss it, turn your back and it’s over…that kind of month. Everything went by so quickly it’s as if it never happened and that the memories I have are fragments of a dream. The flights, meeting some great people, meeting some not so great people, the euphoria of meeting my son and being able to reconnect with his mother was by far the most rapid, positive experiences of my life. Now it’s finished and a new year is upon us…I’m on my way back to the arctic to start back up another work cycle and Phoenix and Luci are coming in February; the thought makes my heart soar…the movement of life…rapidement.
This picture captures of the joy of a happy family. This is why leaving them hurts so much. See you in February.
Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made from—things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.
Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve—bones, eyes, guts, and all. it comes out looking like this.
There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.
But, hey, at least it tastes good, right?
High five, America!
Update: Below follow some of my responses to all the controversy this post has created. Christ, some of you people act as if I told you there wasn’t a Santa Claus.
roads? where were going we dont need roads!

*I’m going to guess that this Tumblr system is not a fan of my blogging. 9 times out of 10 I get 3/4 of the way through an epic writing session only to have it freeze. So, like I’ve posted before, here is another attempt at a blog. It sure wont capture the magic of the original, but it should get the point across.*
Sick. Not sick of it , just sick in general. Cold, flu, you name it and right this minute I’m the proud owner. Luckily I can admit to being one of the lucky people who gets ill roughly once ever 9 months or so, but when the time comes shes a doozy. My diet lately has consisted of generic cold and flu tablets , washed down with a double strength Neo Citran. Not the healthiest of choices, but it sure does the trick. Said diet might also be responsible for this entry being a little bit more discombobulated then my normal entries, but I’ll try my best. Hopefully be able to shake this cold and get some bass fishing in before the summer is completely over. Judging by the weather I’d say there’s about 5 days left; but inconsistency is one of the only things meteorologists do right these days so you never know.
As to how I’ve been personally lately? Bit emotional, and a bit stressed. Both these make for a bit of a challenge, but if they weren’t involved then I’d have to claim a boring life. Being emotional is just something I’ve always been. I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve and am not afraid to show how I’m feeling; whether its anger, fear, sorrow, or melancholy. Call me “emo” if you will, but its better to be human then robot. As to my own personal stresses, they are brought on by certain situations. Situations that I usually haven’t made either the right decision or been the right person. Making mistakes is one thing, but the stunning reality of it all is that you can always change a situation by using positive actions. You can’t change the past, but you can mold(mould?) the future. How cliche.
Anyways, onto a positive note! Happy Fathers Day to all the Australian dads out there, or people with Australian family. I guess I qualify for that actually, so…yeah. Sticking with Australia, finals footy is just around the corner. Had the misfortune of waking up at 240am to view the Collingwood v Geelong debacle. Needless to say I was a tad bit disappointed with the result, but luckily it was a dead rubber with really nothing to gain or lose. More likely then not it’ll fire the Pies up and they’ll fully dismember the Eagles next week. Carn the Pies!
Anyways, I just received the message ” your file Robocop 2KLAXXON has finished downloading”, so I reckon that’s where I’m headed next.
Good night and all that.
*also thanks to Camille Rose Garcia for the artwork, shes stunning.
This video brings back memories of one of the best laughs of my life shared with an amazing person. It makes me think of you.
Just a quick update that the game Farkle is currently fucking me off at the minute. I couldn’t roll shittier dice if I tried. Fucking game.
That is all.
